Danielle MacLean is the owner of DCL Law. Originally from North Sydney, Nova Scotia, she is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University (B.A. 2000) and Dalhousie University (LL.B 2003) and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2004. Her practice includes real estate, title insurance, wills, estate planning, contracts, and corporate law. Danielle is actively involved in the legal community. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Lawyers’ Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS) and is a member of the Land Registration Act Agreement Committee. Her previous leadership roles include Chair of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Professional Standards (Real Estate) Committee, Chair of the Real Estate Practice Working Group, and Co-Chair of the Real Property Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (Nova Scotia). She has also contributed her expertise to the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission Forms Committee. Her outstanding work in real estate law has been recognized with her inclusion in Best Lawyers Canada for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. Danielle resides in Halifax with her family.

Brennan LeJean is an associate with DCL Law. He grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and attended Cape Breton University (BBA 2010) and University of New Brunswick (JD 2016). While at UNB, Brennan was the Vice President of the Law Students' Society and an active member in many other student organizations, including acting as Co-Chair of Pro Bono Students Canada’s Wills Project. He is an active member in the community, volunteering for several community and professional groups including previously acting as the Chair of the Cole Harbour Rural Heritage Society & Heritage Farm Museum, the Secretary of the Association of Collaborative Family Law Professionals of Nova Scotia, and a member of the board for the Dartmouth Community Chest Society. While Brennan has represented previous clients in all levels of Nova Scotia courts, including Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, he has focused in practice on Real Estate law as it is an area where he enjoys helping his clients most. He also has a particular interest in Entertainment Law, specifically the music industry, and received his Certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2020. Brennan was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2017 and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Real Estate Lawyers’ Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS), and the Canadian Bar Association.

Amanda Brousseau is an associate with DCL Law. Having grown up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, she attended Saint Mary’s University (BA 2013) and Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law (JD 2018).
Amanda focuses her practice on Real Estate and Wills & Estates law. Combining her expertise with a commitment to client satisfaction, she effectively guides clients through their legal matters, always ensuring their interests are protected. Her expertise is further augmented by her prior experiences working as a Mortgage Specialist Assistant with RBC, and as a Relocation Advisor for the RCMP with Brookfield Global Relocation Services.
In addition to her legal acumen, Amanda stays up to date with the latest trends and changes in real estate law and actively participates in professional development activities. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Real Estate Lawyers’ Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS). Most recently, she was nominated as the Vice-Chair of the Real Property Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (Nova Scotia) to commence in September 2023.
Amanda lives in Dartmouth with her husband Patrick and their son Oliver. When she isn’t working you will find her trying a new recipe or at the park with her family.

Eryn Murphy is an associate with DCL Law. She grew up in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. She attended Dalhousie (BA 2015) and University of New Brunswick (JD 2021), where she was the Chair of the Speakers’ Committee and a mentor to incoming students. Prior to law school, she was a court reporter. She volunteers with women’s organizations and is improving her French to be able to help clients in both official languages. Eryn lives in Porters Lake.
Eryn was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2022 and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Real Estate Lawyers’ Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS).
